The updated Yugto side table/stool was the first piece out of the original three pieces I made. Translating to “an important transition in a story,” Yugto was the catalyst to what is now Depart.

Inspired by the stools you’d find people sitting on in the barrio streets of the Philippines. Made for friends, family, and strangers to be with one another.

Our most traditional design, YUGTO, was also our first. Yugto translates to “a fundamental transition in a story.” Since this was the first piece made that brought momentum to the vision of Depart Studio, it was only fitting that it was named Yugto.

Each piece is made to order. Please allow 3-6 weeks for your order to be shipped.

Due to possible inconsistencies of Baltic Birch Plywood, pieces may have color-matched oval patches and small knots. Each piece is made of Baltic Birch Plywood and coated with an oil-based finish.

All sales are final due to each piece being handmade. Any broken or damaged pieces through transit will be replaced free of charge.
